Burberry models (one a rock musician, the other Emma Watson), great style, passable song, and nymphish boys frolicking about in tight pants. There you have it.
Sunday Service
Just released, this is good stuff my friends. Not an outrageously complicated piece of video, the abstractions caused by the manipulation of the images makes it cool to watch (especially if you squint and don't pay close attention), and is a nice little visual complement for the song. Like a painting in motion. With good, dark, hard, rock. That's how I, and the Dead Weather, seem to like it.
Catch (Up) 22
My, my, well, now. See, the thing (and there is a thing) is that I have not posted anything for a while. "Why? Why?" the Furies (who are avidly readers of this infant blog) screech.
"Well," I tell them with tepid nonchalance, "I've been busy. And I've been on the fence about personal blogs ever since I realized how fully self-indulgent and conceited they are and/or can be. So I don't know... I guess I just haven't felt like posting."
There you have it. However, c'est l'ete, and it is time again, my darlings. Below is a melange of images from my recent adventures, some inspiring, some depicting... well, what I wear camping (viciously important, I know).
The pier. Admire, if you will, the texture.
The poppies before (literally, visually) the snow.
The mountains of home. That's right, kids, Southern California has snow.
What else does SoCal harbour? The L.A. skyline, that is correct. And there it is. Oh, the values laden on those lines...
Favourite sippages at a favourite spot: Intelligentsia. Caffeinated hipsters, rejoice.
Me. Big Sur. Camping. Plaid. (Cliche chemise choice? Yeah, but come on, it was a Simon & Garfunkel kind of day)
If that is not inspiring, dear, what is? Nature and man...
I just like this one.
Well, there you have it. I have a lot more to say about myriad topics, but for now... I am going to alternate between watching America's Next Top Model and Passion by Jean-Luc Godard.
